WELCOME TO OUR NEW PARTNER SITES: Goddard Riverside, NYC, Student Success Network, NYC, Oak Park Unified After-School Program, CA, ASCAP National Offices (NY, LA, Nashville)
We are gearing up for our most exciting summer and fall yet. We are so happy to see that our partner sites are beginning to resume some of their normal activities as they prepare for summer programming and the fall school year. We look forward to continuing our work with these resilient organizations!
After over a year of development, we’re proud to announce the launch of Learn with Creative Confidence, our K — 5 whole school framework. Educators across the country see the critical need to implement a social-emotional curriculum to respond to the challenges children have faced while trying to learn during the pandemic. The framework, which we have begun to pilot with individual elementary teachers, uses the 10 Principles to weave creativity and social-emotional learning into the fabric of a school’s climate, culture, and across subject areas from ELA, math and science to art and phys-ed. The response has been very positive. The framework for grades 6–8 is currently in development.
“To be resourceful means that you must deal with whatever is in front of you and use that to your advantage.” — Cyndie, 6th grade
Our new website is live! Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about our organization can be found here! We hope you take a moment to browse and learn more about our team and the work we do. We’re continuing to add additional features, including a portal for educators to access digital copies of our materials.
We were honored to present two workshops at the NYC DOE’s #STHAchieve virtual conference, which had over 1000 attendees dedicated to supporting students in temporary housing. After such an emotionally challenging year, we are grateful to be able to provide the attendees with creative tools and strategies to use for themselves and their students.
